Radeon VII is the world's first card with a GPU made using 7-nanometer technology. The card is built on the Vega 20 chip, which was previously featured in the professional Radeon Instinct M50 and M60 accelerators.
The graphics processor includes 60 computing units, which means 3840 stream processors. At the same time, the chip itself has 64 CUs and 4096 stream processors. The GPU itself operates at a frequency of 1.8 GHz.
The new product is equipped with 16 GB of HBM2 memory, and the data bus provides 4096 bits, which gives a total memory bandwidth of 1 TB / sec.
According to the company, the theoretical performance in single-precision operations with floating-point numbers is 13.8 teraflops.
Radeon VII is the first consumer graphics card to support the PCI Express 4.0 interface that will appear in AMD Ryzen 3000 processors.
